Glenn
Hawser
CFI & Pilot Examiner
Glenn has been in the aviation industry for over 30 years. He studied aviation at Kent Street SHS where he started training in general aviation and went on to become an aircraft maintenance engineer with Ansett Airlines. Glenn later took up gliding where he gained a level 2 instructor rating. Glenn then took up flying recreational aircraft as well. He soon gained a senior instructor rating and now is the Chief Flying Instructor of Sport Aviation Academy.
Glenn’s greatest passion (after his family) is flying, and the more people he introduces to the sport, the more he loves it.
John

Senior Instructor
John has been flying for over 40 years. A private pilot who took up a career in air traffic control. John went on to become an instructor with Airservices Australia. He also became a level 3 gliding instructor, instructor trainer as well as CFI of a gliding club.
John recently retired as the Executive Officer, Gliding Federation of Australia and is now a Senior Instructor with Sport Aviation Academy.

Alexis is the newest member of the SAA team. He converted to Recreational Aviation last year and loved it so much he gave up his city job for 12 months to become an instructor! Alexis recently returned to city work, and instructs on weekends and on public holidays.
