  • Glenn and Alexis returned safely from Bundaberg on Saturday 27th March following modifications to the school J230.  This aircraft now has a 'dual' stick, making this aircraft more suitable to ab initio training.  It has also been fitted with a Sensenich 2-blade wood/glass propeller.

  • Another successful Human Factors course was held on Sunday 29th November, and we'll be running more of these in 2010. All RA Aus pilots must complete a Human Factors training course or sit an exam by August 2010: call us to discuss your options.

  • Wyalkatchem Aerodrome Development
    Latest News on the Federally funded development of the Wyalkatchem facility, home of Sport Aviation Academy.

    Construction of the new 1000m sealed strip (03/21) commenced in late November 2009.  Cross strips (12/30 and 06/24) are no longer available: call ahead for current status.

  • New Instructor Welcomed
    Alexis Oosterhoff, Senior Instructor
    The team at Sport Aviation Academy are proud to welcome Alexis as our newest Senior Instructor.  Alexis came to recreational flying after qualifying for his General Aviation (PPL) license then finding he wanted something more economical and fun! He did his conversion with SAA and the rest is history.
